Certified — 6 x 30' Original Comedy

Unexpected births. Hapless weddings. Bizarre deaths. And one Yorkshireman not ready for any of them.

Certified is a six-part comedy set in the Yorkshire Dales about love, friendship, family and one man who never quite knows how to make the right decision.

Tom is thirty-five. He wants out of the Dales. He wants a proper career in a big city. He wants to get married and have children. At least, he's sure he does. Three fiancées later, the evidence suggests otherwise.

Luckily or unluckily, Tom has plenty of people around him to help. Or hinder.

There's Big Mac, his larger-than-life best friend, who's never short of advice, however useless it might be. Susan is still waiting for Tom to realise she's the woman for him. Louise, his latest fiancée, waits in London thinking he's about to move in and marry her. He isn't. And then there's Dawn, his sarcastic new boss in Leeds, who thinks he's a bit of a knob. Until, against her better judgement, she doesn't.

Thank God he has his beloved retriever Bonnie to rely on.

Between them, they navigate unexpected pregnancies, hapless weddings and bizarre deaths. A dead fake Lord. Dognapping. Being surrounded by armed police. A tone-deaf rendition of Das Land des Lächelns. And that's before we get to the ludicrous 'Scooby-Doo' wedding car and JCB burials.

All entirely avoidable. Unless you're Tom.

Birth. Marriage. Death. We all get the certificates. An instruction manual would be helpful.

Certified is adapted from Roger Wilson-Crane's award-winning novel of the same name, winner of the CIBA Mark Twain Grand Prize and a Bronze Medal at the Readers' Favorite International Book Awards.
